That's over 120,000 voters, with issues ranging from the environment to education, affordable housing to mass transit, who should have a say in choosing the next leader of Nashville.The Young Voters Debate Series is a bi-partisan, cross-cultural effort between the Davidson County Young Democrats, the Davidson County Young Republicans, the Middle Tennessee Urban League Young Professionals, the Nashville Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, and the the Nashville Junior Chamber of Commerce designed to help educate candidates to the issues facing younger voters as well as increase voter turnout among Nashville's 18-34 year-old demographic.

For its inaugural year, the Young Voters Debate Series will host a Nashville Mayoral Debate between the runoff candidates on Saturday, August 25th, at the Ingram Auditorium on the campus of Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. The debate will be televised live by NewsChannel 5 and will be moderated by NewsChannel5's Rhori Johnston.

For 60 minutes the runoff candidates will answer questions important to the next generation of Nashville leaders. And on September 11th, Davidson County's young voters will cast their votes from Nashville's next mayor.
